Wuhou New City
Located at outer 3rd Ring Road southwestward of Chengdu, the planned 21.11 km2 Wuhou New City is linked to Huoyun Avenue and a mere 6 km away from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, West Railway Station and South Railway Station. In accordance with the developing concept of “planned guidance, industrial support, business concentration and residential model” and “one district one leading industry”, a combination of scientific R&D service industry, emerging real estate industry, modern business and trade industry will be developed. At the same time, the construction of infrastructure, residential complementary facilities and public utilities will be undertaken. By 2015, Wuhou New City will have transformed into an international community with a commercial area of more than 2 million m2 and characterized by city-industry integration. Its tax contribution is expected to exceed RMB4.5 billion in the functional zone, and income from main businesses of leading sectors (output value) will hover around RMB75 billion.
A score of world-class enterprises from home and abroad, Including the likes of Lenovo, JD, Digital China and Belle have settled in Wuhou New City, reflecting success in its plan of conglomerating industry leaders. Large real estate developers including Greenland Group, China Oversea Property, Poly Real Estate Group and Huayu have arrived and they have constructed middle and high-end commercial residential buildings in succession. The construction and merchant recruitment campaign for the three major urban commercial complexes of Shouxinhui, Chengzhi Huidian, and Shijibaihe are moving forward in full steam. A preliminary modern service industry cluster has formulated and a “business circle” with an emphasis on international fashion and creation, fashion consumption and modern commerce has been fully initiated.
In the north of Wuhou New City lies West Wisdom Valley, an important platform built with the goal of industrial upgrading. There are many functional facilities present, such as enterprise headquarter cluster, technical R&D and service outsourcing center, IT animation creation industrial park and college students venture industrial park & small and medium enterprises venture incubation base, which are intended to provide perfect, integrated supporting services for admitted enterprises. The RMB 3.73 billion project boasts an area of 50 ha (750 mu) with total construction area of 1.06 million m2, including ground construction area of 700,000 m2. Of the four plots, A, B, C and D, and the ten architectural clusters, currently 351,000 m2 from Plot A’s Clusters 1 and 2 and Plot D's Clusters 9 and 10 have been handed over to their operators. Meanwhile, construction of the main section of Parcel C’s Cluster 7, which is a group of integrated supporting facilities over a 120,000 m2 area, has been completed and interior decoration is slated to commence soon. Parcel B covers an area of 300,000 m2 and is estimated to be put into use in the second half of 2014.
